Iceland held its second Eurovision semifinal on Saturday night, RÚV reports. Three songs—“Gold Digger,” sung by Aron Hannes Emilsson, “Í stormi,” (‘Savior’), sung by Dagur Sigurðson, and “Hér með þér” (‘Here with You’) sung by Áttan—were selected as finalists.
These songs will now join the three contenders that were voted through during the previous semifinal: “Heim” (‘Home’), sung by Ári Ólafsson, “Kúst og fæjó” (‘Broom and Dustpan’), sung by Heimilistónar, and “Aldrei gefast upp” (‘Never Give Up’), sung by Fókus hópurinn. RÚV, Iceland’s National Broadcasting Service, also has the right to choose an additional wildcard for the final.
If chosen, all of the current competitors save one—Heimilstónar—intend to sing their songs in English at Eurovision.
Iceland’s Eurovision Final will be held on March 3rd at Laugardalshöll.
